At St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Primary School every class in Year 2 through to Year 6 have two school council representatives. The school council is over-seen and supported by Mrs McLernon-Evans but led by the children themselves. The School Council members will regularly meet to discuss the views and ideas of pupils at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Primary School. These discussions are then fed back to the rest of school through the classroom discussions and assemblies.
The school council helped with the development of a new whole school rewards system that all pupils are keen to engage with. This new system is up and running within the school and has had a positive reaction from children from FS1 to Year 6.
